The Food Drive Ministry for our parish is handled by the St. Paul’s the Apostle Knights of Columbus Council 15365 (see separate write-up). There are separate collections for the Marble Falls Helping Center and the Marble Falls Crisis Center.
Paper bags are distributed at all the masses on an announced weekend, and then these are returned/collected on the next Sunday. The bags are labeled with the specifically needed items that can be donated, put in the bags, and returned. The Knights do the distribution, collection, and then transport the collected items to the centers. The success of these collections is made possible because of the generosity and participation of our entire parish family.
From time to time, additional donations are made to other community services organizations, for example: “leftovers” from parish socials and meals are often donated to the various Fire Stations in Horseshoe Bay or Marble Falls, and turkeys have been donated to St. Frederick’s Food Kitchen in Marble Falls for thanksgiving meals.
