Highland Lakes Pregnancy Resource Center

Catholic Life Insurance Hill Country Branch #65 and the Highland Lakes Pregnancy Resource Center of Kingsland are “Joining Hands” and co-sponsoring a fundraiser at all of the Masses on the weekends of May 19 & 20, and 26 & 27. The center exists to promote the sanctity of life and empower individuals to make Christ-centered choices regarding pregnancy and sexuality and to extend the healing presence and love of Jesus Christ.
“Join Hands Day” is a National Day of Service that brings together youth and adults working for the well- being of the community. We appreciate your prayers and support for the center and its volunteers. To raise funds, baby bottles are available in the entryways of the church. You may drop your donations in the large baby bottle, or take a small baby bottle home. The deadline to return these bottles to St. Paul’s is Sunday, June 10.

Farewell

St. Paul’s Parish bids a fond farewell to Maggie & Jim Palmer, who are moving to the Killeen area to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Jim has been an usher for many years, and Maggie has served on our Pastoral Council for five years as the chair of Liturgical Ministries. She has been in charge of recruiting and training liturgical ministers for the benefit of all of us who attend Mass. She also had the duty of setting up the ministry schedules every two months. Thanks to both for sharing their time and talents! We will miss them and hope they are able to come back and visit. We already have someone to take Maggie’s place on Council. Esther Ellis has graciously volunteered to take on the duties of Liturgical Ministry chair. Welcome, Esther – we appreciate your spirit of giving! Esther and her husband, Jeff, are lectors at the 5:30 Mass.
