Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 5, 2010

Children’s Religious Education
Registration for the 2010-2011 school year will be held this weekend, September 4 & 5, in the Chapel library after all Masses. We offer classes from 1st grade through high school. Parents, please take this opportunity to sign up your children, so we can order books and supplies for them. If you have not already done so, you will be asked to register with the parish. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings, starting in the latter part of September.

Brown Bag Collection
This weekend, September 4 & 5, we have our monthly ‘Brown Bag’ collection to aid the
St. Vincent de Paul Society. All proceeds from this collection will go directly to the local conference, which is a joint effort of St. John’s in Marble Falls and St. Paul’s in Horseshoe Bay. The St. John/St. Paul conference serves only those people living in the 78654 and 78657 zip codes.
Our August Brown Bag collection was $2120.36!

Coffee Social
Our monthly Coffee Social will take place this Sunday, September 5, after both the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses. Come celebrate Labor Day with yummy pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. All – parishioners and visitors alike – are welcome!

Samaritans’ Luncheon
Our monthly lunch group, The Samaritans, will meet this Wednesday, September 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Russo’s in Marble Falls. St. Paul’s Women’s Book Club
The Catholic Women’s Book Club has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for the women of our parish to meet and discuss not only the book being studied but other issues which affect our lives as Catholics. To accommodate more people, they have changed their meeting date to the second Wednesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel. The next meeting will be this Wednesday, September 8.
